Question about red-haired dolls

Have any of you seen pre-Mattel AGT's with red hair? Is their hair as red as the pre-Mattel Felicity? I have a 1995 Felicity and just received a 1995 red-headed AGT,but her hair is very brown, similar to the new ones. The doll is definitely pre-Mattel. I have pre-Mattel Molly and Felicity, so while not an expert, I can recognize pre-Mattel somewhat. This AGT's hair appeared so much redder in her ebay pictures. I had been dying for an AGT with red hair (red like my Felicity's) and was disappointed. Fortunately the seller does take returns and I will be returning her.

I don't think they ever made an AGT with red hair like the early Felicity's hair. Jecca's AGT, Heather, has dark reddish brown hair which I think is very pretty, but it is quite a bit darker than Felicity's.

I love the combination of red hair and green eyes. They look so beautiful together.

The red-headed AGT which appears in the pre-Mattel catalog appear to be quite red, but maybe only in pictures. The doll I bought off of EBAY looked very red-haired in the pictures, but was really quite reddish brown. You may be right that AGTs never had such red hair. I know that the new red-headed AGT's hair is really much more brown than red. Even though new Felicity is not as red as the older Felicitys, I do think she has redder hair than the AGT. I really wanted a very red-headed AGT with blue eyes. My only AG doll purchase from EBAY has proved to be a bit of a disappointment. I think I'll just stick to ordering from AG.
